Re: [Summary-Talk] FTP expects 350, gets 500



Summary uses the FTP command "REST" to download part of a file. Very old
versions of Windows Server don't support the "REST" command and can only
download an entire file. I don't remember exactly when Microsoft added
support for "REST", but it was many years ago (perhaps in XP).

The error message you quote says the "RE*T" command was not recognized.
I wonder about the '*'. It is remotely possible that some kind of
communication error is corrupting the "REST" command, or perhaps they
simply have a very old version of Windows with a strange error message.
