  • Reports are now in UTF-8, this allows many non-English search phrases to display correctly.

  • Fixed a crash in the Summary Console application under OS X 10.5 Leopard. Summary is now fully supported on Leopard.
  • Added an error message when following an alias fails on OX X.

  • If the USER token was the first token on a log line, it couldn't be space delimited, fixed.
  • Group patterns now properly support regular expressions.
  • Now filters graphic requests occuring before any non-graphic request in a visit if a visit with a visit initiating query string of "(None)" would be filtered.

  • Added version detection for Safari version 3, was being counted as version 2.
  • Added platform detection for the iPhone.
  • Added US state or Canadian province to the city name in the City report.
  • Switched the Macintosh version to XCode. Now requires OS X 10.3.9 or newer.
  • Switched the Windows version to Visual C++.
  • Static HTML overviews were showing graphs at the wrong scales, fixed.
  • Custom reports (.html files from the Custom folder) now get written as part of static reports.
  • In user defined log formats, tran-time-secs wasn't handling multiple digits after the decimal point correctly, fixed.
  • GeoIP lookups were completely wrong on Intel based Macs, fixed. There were no problems on other platforms.

  • Renamed Ask Jeeves to Ask.
  • In the Bandwidth Usage Overview, Requests by Bytes were sorted by current bytes but were displaying total byte percentages. Now displays current byte percentages.
  • Fixed a problem with SFTP log downloads sometimes hanging or failing after a very long delay.

  • Added Visitors : Countries : City report. Reports on major world cities that your visitors come from. This report requires either the GeoLite City database or GeoIP City database from MaxMind (not included with Summary).
  • Updated GeoIP support to be compatible with version 1.4.1 of the MaxMind libraries (several new country codes).
  • Added "User to run as instead of root" configuration option on Linux and OS X. Use of this option improves security and allows sftp log downloading to work correctly when running at startup on OS X or as root on Linux.
  • Increased the maximum configuration dialog string length to 30K.
  • Fixed incorrect "Display Others must be last" error messages when reconfiguring report layouts with detail items.
  • Now checks for out of memory twice as often while processing, avoids unnecessary asserts.

  • Fixed download failure caused by FTP SIZE command returning code 550 even when the file exists and can be downloaded.

  • Completely redesigned overviews! The overviews are now task oriented and include pie charts and interactive bar charts and line graphs. The new overviews put all the information you might need for several common tasks all in one place.
  • New appearance throughout. Now uses CSS and supports recent HTML standards.
  • Added a new Javascript Enabled report, requires that the new Javascript code be installed at your site.
  • Added Visitors : ISPs and Visitors : Robots : Agents reports and renamed some others.
  • Added several new rows to the Compare Time Periods report, Summary Plus, SP Lite, and SP only.
  • Added support for a third high memory usage report. Summary Plus, SP Lite, and SP only.

  • When upgrading from Summary 1.x, custom report layouts and report disables will be lost.
  • Reorganized the custom HTML configuration pages, Summary Plus, SP Lite, and SP only.
  • Custom HTML header/footers are not imported from older versions. Changes to the custom HTML support require that they be rewritten anyway. Summary SP Lite and SP only.
  • New optional column percent of visits (no decimal).
  • Numerous small changes and extensions to the custom HTML support. Existing custom HTML headers and footers will need to be rewritten. Summary SP Lite and SP only.
    • Added no-title option to <sum-topn>.
    • Added empty(XX) option to <sum-if> expressions.
    • Made ! a general oporator in <sum-if> expressions.
    • Added <sum-else>.
    • Can now nest <sum-if>s.
    • Added any-output, plus, sp, true, false conditionals to sum-if expresions.
    • Added pie-chart option to TopN.
    • Switched <sum-graph> to use the new .gif graphs.
    • Added title=xxxx option for <sum-topn>.
    • Added using and on-right option to TopN.
  • Switched text reports from .text to .txt.
  • Improved path clipping in reports.
  • Page as spreadsheet no longer uses the same file name as report as spreadsheet.
  • Small adjustments to the default layout of several reports.
  • Added a better error message for console can't write to script file on the Macintosh version.
  • Updated to PCRE 6.6.
